About Rewa Sunderja

Rewa Sunderja is an exceptional mango cultivar from the Govindgarh region of Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh, India. Celebrated for its unique chemical composition, it holds a prestigious Geographical Indication (GI) tag.

The fruit has a neat, symmetrical oval shape, weighing 200 to 300 grams. When ripe, it develops a smooth, dry, golden-yellow skin. The pulp is a beautiful deep yellow, firm, and completely fiberless.

Sunderja is famous for its sweet flavor combined with an unusual characteristic: it is widely reported to be suitable for consumption by diabetic patients in moderation, due to its balanced sugars and low glycemic response. It is a mid-season variety peaking in May.
