About BioLens.AI
An AI-powered botanical intelligence platform — identifying flowers, diagnosing plant diseases, and guiding food & pet safety decisions across 11 languages and 500+ species.

Our Story
BioLens.AI was born out of a simple but pressing observation: millions of people encounter plants, flowers, and foods every day without knowing whether they are safe, edible, or harmful — for themselves, their families, or their pets. A backyard flower, a fruit from a market stall, a plant chewed by a curious dog — the difference between safe and dangerous can be a single misidentification.
Founded by Atanico Digital Solutions, a software technology company based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, BioLens.AI was developed to bridge this gap using modern artificial intelligence. Our team combines expertise in machine learning, mobile-first web development, and domain knowledge in botanical science to deliver a platform that is both accurate and genuinely useful to everyday users — not just specialists.
We launched with a focused scope: flower identification for hobbyist gardeners. As user needs grew, so did our platform. We expanded to plant disease diagnosis, food safety comparisons, mango variety identification, and pet hazard detection. Today, BioLens.AI covers more than 500 species and items across six distinct knowledge domains.
What BioLens.AI Offers
Flower Identification
Identify 200+ flower species from a photo or by browsing our structured botanical encyclopedia. Each flower entry includes scientific name, family, genus, floral formula, and characteristic features.
Plant Disease Diagnosis
Diagnose 100+ plant diseases and pest infestations with AI-assisted image recognition. Each diagnosis includes cause, visual symptoms, and recommended treatment steps.
Food Guard
Identify 95+ foods, compare look-alikes, and understand safe consumption practices. Our Food Guard section is especially useful for distinguishing edible fruits and vegetables from visually similar toxic counterparts.
Pet Guard
A curated safety database of 60+ common household plants and foods, classified by their toxicity risk to cats and dogs. Each entry includes safe alternatives and veterinary guidance.
Mango Varieties
An in-depth guide to 60+ mango varieties grown across India and South Asia, including taste profiles, ripening indicators, regional availability, and how to distinguish premium varieties from common ones at a market.
11-Language Botanical Names
Every flower and plant on BioLens.AI is documented with its common name across 11 languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu, and English — a resource unique to our platform.
Our AI Technology
BioLens.AI uses deep learning models trained on curated botanical image datasets to identify plant species and diseases from user-uploaded photographs. Our models are built and evaluated against species commonly found in South Asian environments — an intentional design choice, as most global botanical AI tools are primarily trained on Western European and North American plant datasets.
For image-based identification, user photos are processed in real time by our inference engine. We do not store uploaded images beyond the duration of the identification session. No image data is retained, shared, or used for model retraining without explicit user consent.
In addition to AI identification tools, BioLens.AI hosts a structured botanical knowledge base that is manually curated, reviewed, and expanded by our editorial team. This includes detailed descriptions, taxonomy, chemical constituents, regional usage, and multilingual name references — content written and verified by our team, not scraped or auto-generated.
